Community Expectations

Safety: T&K Transitional Housing and Residential Services Corporation will provide on-site management and makes everyone’s safety their priority. You may be asked to be vigilant of your surroundings and report unwarranted activities

Fees: Clients are expected to pay fees to make your stay a rewarding one.

Transportation Assistance: T&K provides transportation to work, school, church, grocery store, recreation activities, and others. You must coordinate your trips with the director. City transportation is available.

Pets: Pets are not allowed. Pets are not allowed even on visitation.

Confidentiality: Your information will be private and will not be shared with other agencies unless you give your written permission. You will be asked to honor the privacy of other program participants by not discussing their names or situations with anyone else.

Food, clothing, and toiletries Assistance: T&K will work with you and coordinate with other partners on your behalf to help you receive the initial necessities. This includes bedding, towels and washcloths, clothing, personal care items, and food resources. You are required to maintain and sustain personal hygiene items, food, and clothing, and required necessities.

Shared in house arrangements: You may share common areas and will share a bedroom. Each bedroom will have 2 full-sized beds and clients will have access to a full bathroom and complete kitchen. The kitchen is a shared space and you are required to clean up after use. When using the refrigerator, you must mark your items and keep the refrigerator clean. There are other common areas clients will share therefore everyone must respect each other. There is an outside common area that you will share, and it is the client’s responsibility to keep it clean.

Laundry facilities: There is a shared laundry facility and it will be used according to a schedule.

Visitors: Visitors are not allowed in the housing due to the COVID19 pandemic. As the pandemic become under control by our official, T&K will modify this expectation. Clients can visit with family members as long as house rules are adhered to and a general sanitation guidance is followed.

House Rules: The director of T&K will provide house rules and there are no exceptions because they must be adhered to at all times. Breaking some of the house rules may result in a warning and others will result in immediate termination from the program.

Other Expectations

Your stay will be short-term: T&K housing programs offer short stays, between 6 months to 12 months. Note: You are not required to stay for 12 months. However, program has been designed to help you reach self-sufficiency and in in-dependency within 12 months period. Your length of stay is determined by YOU!

You will have daily contact with our staff: Throughout your stay, the staff will work closely with you to help you meet your goals and goals required to exit the program. T&K exit criteria and the goals set by you will help you transition smoothly back into the community.

Continuance: T&K will continue to provide counseling and guidance to those who transition through its program as needed. The goal of T&K is to ensure that our clients maintain self-sufficient.
